CSS Baccalaureate
The Church Stretton School Baccalaureate recognises and celebrates pupils’ personal development and their commitment to the school’s values. The award is achieved by following the progression grids for each specific year group, which outline the expectations and activities required. Pupils can work towards Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.
To complete each section of the Baccalaureate, pupils must collate evidence in their Personal Development folders, demonstrating their involvement and achievements in the relevant areas. Pupils are required to complete:
- 10 bullet points for Bronze
- 15 bullet points for Silver (an additional 5 beyond Bronze)
- 20 bullet points for Gold (an additional 5 beyond Silver)
Where activities require a time commitment, pupils should complete a minimum of:
- 6 weeks (half a term) for Bronze
- 12 weeks (one full term) for Silver
- 24 weeks (two terms) for Gold
By progressing through the award, pupils build key skills, demonstrate resilience and aspiration, and create a meaningful record of their personal growth that we can celebrate.
