Don’t forget to pick up one of our new maths reading books (pictured) from the library.
Remember, this half term, if you read one book and write a review, you will receive 5 House Points.
A draw will take place with the winning reviewer being presented with a £10 Amazon Voucher.
One of our fantastic reviews that has been entered by Amelia Year 9:
I’ve really enjoyed reading The Number Devil. It’s about a 12 year old boy (who hates maths). Every night he had terrible nightmares which affected how he performed at school. Then one night he meets the Number Devil who helps the boy at maths (even though he loses his temper at times) and also stops the nightmares from happening.
I love the magic in it with floating numbers which can go anywhere. The book’s colours and illustrations really brighten the boy’s perspective of maths. It really inspired me to change my view on maths and I loved it. The book will help lots of children who don’t like maths and show them what you can really do if you put your mind to it.

Only 7 more sleeps until Christmas jumper day! The students’ £1 donation will support the fantastic house charities and allow them to wear either a bought or home made jumper.
