The choir was formed in 1983 with just seven members. Initially, the choir was made up of serving and retired police officers, together with members of the Special Constabulary, but has since opened up membership to invited members of the community.

Since its humble beginnings, the choir has established a large musical repertoire and given many concerts. It is proud to have helped to raise over £200,000 for charitable and other worthy causes in Shropshire, Wales and the West Midlands. It has taken part in massed concerts at the Albert Hall, Cardiff Arms Stadium, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Manchester’s MEN Arena. The choir has undertaken a number of tours to the West Country, singing with choirs from Cornwall, The Isle Of Wight and Wells.
